Approach

AITSL found a gap in their current teacher resources for ‘Strategies to support full participation of students with disability’.
We targeted our training videos and supportive resources to a specific audience for maximum impact. The four categories were:
Each aligned with the four different teacher career stages; Graduate, Proficient, Highly Accomplished and Lead. For example, we specifically designed Culture videos for Lead teachers, as they set the examples and make cultural change within the school.

Outcome

Our videos featured GSA Associates with a range of physical, sensory, psychosocial and intellectual disabilities. The content drew upon their personal experience both in school and in life. We designed this first-hand disability-led content to give teachers more confidence to set career pathways for students with disability.
Our Teachers Standard aligned resources are now available on the AITSL website
